What is the HMI Glass Contract Division?

The Contract Division of HMI Glass delivers custom glass shower enclosures and bath glass solutions for hospitality, multifamily housing, senior living, student housing, luxury condos, and commercial projects. We specialize in architectural-grade systems and offer end-to-end support - design consultation, technical submittals, delivery logistics, and post-installation service coordination - to meet demanding brand standards, building codes, and construction schedules.

How long has HMI Glass been in business?

Since 1946. With over 75 years of experience in U.S. manufacturing, HMI Glass has built a national reputation for quality craftsmanship, engineering precision, and responsive service across hospitality, multifamily, and specialty glass markets.

Where are your products manufactured?

All products are made in the USA at our three facilities:

Louisville, KY - Full fabrication and operations center
Boston, MA - Full fabrication facility with in-house design and digital glass printing
Arlington, TX - Distribution and service hub for the southern U.S.

Are you approved with major hotel brands?

Yes. HMI Glass is an approved vendor with Hilton Supply Management, with multiple product lines approved across Hilton’s brand platforms. We also exceed the performance, durability, and design standards of other major hotel flags - including Marriott, IHG, Hyatt, and Choice Hotels - with a track record of completed installations nationwide.

What types of enclosures do you offer?

Frameless and semi-frameless enclosures, sliding barn-style and bypass systems, hinged and pivot doors, ADA - and senior-friendly options, tub and shower combos, digitally printed panels, and artisan cast glass.

Can I customize my enclosure?

Yes. We offer fully customizable solutions that align with brand specifications, design intent, and space constraints. We work closely with designers, procurement teams, and ownership groups to ensure alignment from submittals to delivery.

What surface protections are available?

We offer C.10® surface protectant - resistant to staining, buildup, and UV etching - as well as Guardian ShowerGuard® for long-term clarity and ease of cleaning. These upgrades help maintain appearance and reduce housekeeping burden in high-use settings.

What finishes are available?

Our hardware finishes include matte black, brushed nickel, chrome, oil-rubbed bronze, champagne bronze, and others to match nearly any interior palette.

Do your systems support brand standards?

Yes. Our enclosures are designed to exceed performance expectations for hospitality and multifamily brand platforms. We have executed nationwide programs across top-tier hotel flags and are happy to consult on meeting specific brand criteria or design goals.

Quality, Certification & Warranty

Are your enclosures certified and compliant?

Yes. All HMI shower glass is SGCC® certified, meets ANSI Z97.1 and CPSC 16 CFR 1201 safety standards, and is fabricated in our U.S. tempering plants. We voluntarily test through third-party labs to ensure consistent, code-compliant performance.

Why does SGCC® certification matter?

SGCC® certification assures hotel owners, developers, and designers that the glass has been tested for impact resistance, thermal shock, and compliance. It minimizes liability and ensures smooth passage through inspections. Certification details are available at sgcc.org.

What is your Zero Defects policy?

We adhere to a strict quality mantra: Complete. Correct. On-Time. Every Time. Each enclosure undergoes multiple QC checkpoints. By owning the process from tempering to metalwork, we keep field errors to a minimum.

What is your warranty?

We offer a 3-year warranty on hardware - 2-years beyond most hotel brand requirements - and a limited manufacturer warranty on glass. Extended or custom warranties may be available for long-term rollouts.

Project Support & Logistics

What are your lead times?

Typical lead time is 4–6 weeks from final drawing approvals. We also support faster timelines for model room or prototype orders. Standard shower doors may ne eligible for quick-ship. Ask a Contract Division Specialist for availability.

What’s the order process?

Submit a complete quote request → Receive formal quote → Submit purchase order → Approve drawings → Send deposit → Begin fabrication.

How do you handle shipping, logistics, and labeling?

We offer jobsite-tailored crating and labeling, including organizing product by floor, phase, or unit number to support efficient installation. Clients can choose to have us handle freight or arrange will-call pickups from any of our facilities.

How are replacement parts and glass handled?

We keep critical SKUs on hand and can quickly ship replacements to help hoteliers get rooms back online fast. We understand how crucial it is to protect your REVPAR and reduce downtime during peak occupancy.

Do you perform installation?

We do not self-perform installation but provide full submittals, coordination support, and referrals to qualified glaziers and installers in your region.

Why does installer experience matter?

Glass installation - especially for sliding systems and large formats - requires specific skills. Poor installs can lead to leaks, damage, or warranty issues. We recommend experienced professionals to protect both appearance and performance.
